- HE’S. HE’S is a contraction of HE IS. HIS is a personal pronoun, where the subject implies ownership. Saying “his got some awesome tap dancing shoes” just makes you look like a clown and three quarters magikarp. You don’t see yourself saying “hers got some amazing toenails”. I don’t see how that could brush past your ~13 years of education.
