Had a ClubCJ fundraiser yesterday morning. Woke up bright and early to amazing weather then headed off to Ground Zero tints to meet up with Miguel.  Made our way to Bicentennial Park afterwards then met up with the rest of the lancer owners.

In total there were 14 lancers that showed up, with lucky door prizes for those who donated. I’ve only ever been to 2 other meets but I knew few of the people there. Anyway, I ended up with a $100 MRT voucher and.. well shit, I never win anything so this was awesome.

I’m in love with these rims. What can I say, gunmetal looks pretty… gun… on a black car. Need them on my car when I gets the dolla dolla.

Had a “Show & Shine” event for Lancers @ Olympic Park on Saturday evening.  Unfortunately, our designated photographer was a no-show, and Dave unfortunately got into an accident only minutes away from the meetup point (he was photographer #2), we had no photographer.

Fortunately, a few of us brought along digital cameras. And here was my share… I quite like how some of them turned out. FYEAHHH.

It was also a time to test out my brand new camera! The Sony HX7V! YESSUH!

dropped dad off to the airport. I was surviving on about 4 hours sleep whilst driving, but I made it through. He’s in China now!

Got my front v-lip and side skirts attached ready for the mini-meet during the night. Also got my carbon fiber vinyl put on, and plate relocated.

Club CJ minimeet @ Harry’s Parramatta.  I met up with 4 other lancer owners near Glenwood… surprisingly 4 of them were filo, and 1 bald aussie guy. I also knew the gf who tagged along with one of the other owners. Was extremely random.  Anyway, made our way onto the meet up point - driving like civil minded people.

Then finally arrived at the meet.  We spoke, met new people, caught up, talked about stuff, ate hot dogs+pies and then took some photos.  About 16 lancers turned up including 1 ralliart. A lancer owner who wasn’t part of the club came by and asked “I live just around the corner, and saw all the evo’s - what’s happening here?”. Although to his disappointment, there were no evo’s amongst us, only evo wings. LOl. But it was interesting to see all the different mods people have done.

Late night
Drove to Julienne’s house to pick up Lenny and her to make our way to Jeaneline’s party. Arrived there and yeah, about 95% of them were smashed. Anyway, we ended up staying there til about 2am then made our way home.

Installed by Concord Customs:

• VRX Front air dams
• White LED Parkers (although they look blue in the pic)  When I turn my headlights on, they look noticably blue next to my headlights. But oh well. Looks pretty cool, slightly brighter also.

To install:

And then that will be all for now!!!! … until I can save enough for wheels maybe later down the track. Hurray.

Cranium is a bloody absolute blast. It’s trivia, pictionary, charades in one, and the shish that people come up with is hi-larious. I had the word “Mannequin” and I had to let others guess the word, using only play-doh.  Bearing in mind the hint was “thing”.  I could not for the life of me get them to guess it was a “thing” in the shape of a person.  So I tried making clothes and dressing it up… ran a pole up its ass to show that its a statue, but still no one could get it. lol.

Anyway, my fitness has been dropping. I really wanna get rid of my gut.  Only doing pushups at the moment at night when I get home from work. That is the extent of my exercise, apart from sitting in a chair all day. Need to bring out the bike again and go around Glenwood!

Yesterday I picked up my side skirts for my car from Talon Body Styling w/ C, then ate at Rashays. I wanted to eat everything from the menu. We ordered bruschetta pizza, chicken schnitzel and chips w/ dianne sauce, salad, freshly squeezed watermelon jooooce. I was so keen on dessert but I couldn’t eat anymore. And this would mark the first time I’ve been to Liverpool!

I also recently ordered 2 items from Catch of the Day. One was 2 pairs of earphones for my workmate. They came in fine.  The other were $1 Havaianas that they claimed would be a “unisex” style and size.  I imagined at LEAST the plain colours, I was secretly hoping for black because I wanted a black pair.

… I got a black pair alright… with some Season-greeting-esque gold and silver shit all over it.

Anyway, I gave those to mum since she always uses my pair at home. At least they were $1…. + $6 shipping.

Excited for:

• Installing side-skirts + v-lip onto my car. October 22
• First Lancer western region meet-up. October 22
• J’s Fresh Prince of Bel Air themed party. October 22
• Inaugural “Show & Shine” Lancer Photoshoot @ Olympic Park. October 29
• C’s birthday @ Beach house. November 4-6
• Tram brothers arrive in Sydney. Gamer meet-up ftw! lolol. November 18
• Go karts + Paintball w/ the gamers.

My front air dams have been unpacked and have verified their condition. I also received my Wrapture Styling 3m Di-noc carbon vinyl.  The front of my car will be looking black as. Sort of. Not really. I’m so excited though.  Need to apply maybe electrical tape underneath to help protect from more scraping. 

Last things to apply will be the side skirts, and then white parking lights, and then maybe change to LED tail lights. Then wait x years for the tyres to wear out and then buy a set of 18s. :D

ALSO GOT MY FULL LICENSE YESTERDAY. HELL YESSS.

Picked up my new Black Lancer SX.

Now to take care of her… and get off my green P’s… next Saturday when I go for my fulls. :) It had reverse sensors fitted, and they were going craycray when I was reversing so I was all wtf… before I realised my P plates were blocking one of the sensors. DURHHHH. 

Anyway, planning on taking formation shots with my friends friends white Lancer, swift, and Evo 8 sometime. Hahaha.

But first, but wait for my front air dams and v-lip to come!

Lately I have been looking into buying my first car. Its more so an obsession now since I’m on clubcj.net every day looking at pictures, DIYs, reviews, experiences, modding etc. I wasn’t really into the car scene, but up until the urge to get my own car, I’ve been researching so much. The pic above is just a reference pic I have saved for what I want my car to look like minus the Chrome grill surround at the front. I think my colour scheme will be Black and Blue, or Black and Red.

For reference for myself this is what I want to achieve in the long run:

Car:
Black Lancer SX w/ standard features (minus bluetooth because its useless = $450 cheaper!)

Addons during purchase (additions I hope to get from the dealer (free or something)):
- Footwell/floor illumination for both passenger and driver side (or cheaper from CCJ installed by Concord Customs)
- Scuff plates
- Mats
- Car seat covers
- Maybe headlight/bonnet protectors if I can

Addons down the track when I have saved enough, or have time:
- Angel eyes

- LED Tail Lights (DO WANT).

- Black rims (will be painting the stock rims black… saves about $800 for now)
- Plate relocation
- Front air dam extension (X-factor parts)
- Side air dam extension (X-factor parts)
- OR Ralliart Parts

In regards to performance, I’m satisfied with how it is atm, maybe throw an air filter in for kicks.

And I have most of my expenses worked out if this is thrown into my monthly payments. I’m pretty sure I can manage. The mod bug has bitten me before I even have the damn thing!
