Just a random video I found and decided to upload… for the lulz.

This was on our way to Port Macq, 4 hours into our trip.. we decided to do some vlogs. On my camera I also found some very… slightly incriminating videos that will not be shown!

Riverside ….. bound.

Last Friday went to Riverside, Port Macquarie with the uni mates. SO many memories and so much fun.

We met up at 7am at Parramatta to have breakfast at Maccas, then eventually left at 8.30 (1 hour behind our scheduled time to be on the road). Stopped over at the LOVERLY Port Stefans. Seriously it was like we were in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout. That awesome.

It was a long, tiresome 5 hour trip but eventually we got there with a few minor issues, namely Billys van overheating. We took the car ferry across the river and arrived at our home for the next 2.5 days.

When I walked into the house, I recognised all the furniture from the photos and thought… this is legit.. I’m glad I found that, and a CHEAP one at that. The reception from everyone was generally good and for the remainder of that first day, we just sat down, chilled, cooked some snags and drank til Seline, Ricky and Thien came.

Come the second day, we made our way to the beach. The weather was perfect, and minus the small rocks at the beach, the waves and everything else about it was great. It was practically empty too. Played a bit of touch and then slowly sunburnt my skin away. :( My back has handprints on the back. Not cool.

We then came back home and fished til the sunset, I rode the kayaks (i guess the voucher doesn’t count, Jasmine hahaha) whilst the others fished, then as the sun had disappeared we came inside, cooked up another bbq, finishing all the meat, then began to dress up for American Indian night for the Saturday Night Games.

Teams were divided into 2, with Simon and Jason being tribe leaders.  Our entrance was the bomb. We played flip cup, charades, kings and then danced the night away until poor J dislocated her knee .. saying AYYOOOOo, GOTTA LEEEET GO. A lot of us didn’t actually go to sleep until 6am. And given the time we had to wake up the next morning.. not a lot of us got sleep.

The last day at Riverside, we hired boats and did more fishing. We had 3 boats.. 2 boats of hunter/gatherers and 1 party boat. I drove that thing into the canals and saw the high roller houses. I think it was good fun. I threw a prawn that ‘slapped’ Ada in the face. hehe. Accident, but I’ll give myself that shot.

The Party Boat. LOL

On the drive back, Billys van broke down.. possibly for the last time :( We said goodbye to it, and compacted into 3 cars and made our way home.  Simon, Thien and I still had Ange’s 21st to go to, so I stayed awake for that to keep Simo company. Drank at Ange’s, then got dropped home by Mr Thien P.

Weekend Rating: 10 brims out of 10.
