PotHot.

Went to Hotpot last night also with the uni kids. Ivan and I were running late so eventually once we found parking we ran to the restaurant… only to realise we were running in the wrong direction LOLOL. 4 blocks later, we reached the place, sweating and all.. well I was.

Anyway, fun night celebrating the May birthdays. Went to Rickys after to play some pictionary — once again I remain undefeated.  I got paired with Seline. We were off to a slow start, and Ricky and I had a sidebet of $5 so competitive mode was on. Lots of fun, gigglin’ and stuff cos its what we do. lololol (Looking at you, Van and Jason!!)

Grand Canyon, Cliff Top and Braeside Bushwalk!

Yesterday a handful of the UTS kids + Lennys mates went along for a bushwalk into the b-e-a-utiful Blue Mountains National Park.

Awesome weather, awesome company. We began our 1.5 hour drive to the starting point at 11am, expecting to be there 12.30pm. We were then greeted with awesome traffic. This delayed our walk by a lot, and by a lot I’m talking over 2 hours. We ended up getting to the place just before 3pm. Considering sunset began at 5.44pm, we were chasing daylight, but proceeded to the walk.

Decending into the canyon was a breeze. Dry rocks and steep declines leading into a lush avatar-pandora-esque environment made it worthwhile. It was hell dense down there (heyhey). Along the path, there was a batcave we had to go through and it was literally pitch black in there. Another instance where we had to balance on this log to get across a stream. It was heaps fun.

… until the incline to Evans Lookout. This shit was intense. As it always is. Ok, the first hour or so was doable. It wasn’t until after that, that some of us started to feel the burn.  After you finish a set of steps, more of them just appeared out of nowhere. There was alsoa  part where it was nothing but mud… you could not avoid it, and your shoes would just end up looking like turd. We eventually got over that and found a picnic spot.  A picnic spot. Right in the middle of bloody nowhere.

Anyway, we eventually reached the top.. somehow, and then it was another 4km walk to our car… this was back on suburban streets. And it was already dark. Lucky we got out of the bush by then though.

We were all pretty hungry so we then stopped by maccas and ordered the feast of Kings.

I also used my Camelbak that I got form Catch of the Day. Served me well :D

Updatin’

So I haven’t really blogged in a while.

Lately..

  • Swimming with the UTS kids
  • Work
  • M’s bday at Bicentennial Park - which turned into Cranium Day at our house
  • Cranium Night with the LK at K’s house
  • Work
  • Sleep
  • T’s surprise birthday dinner @ Noodle Markets
  • Noodle Markets round 2 with half of LK, + Royce + Viet w/ French accent (lolz)
  • Work

Cranium is a bloody absolute blast. It’s trivia, pictionary, charades in one, and the shish that people come up with is hi-larious. I had the word “Mannequin” and I had to let others guess the word, using only play-doh.  Bearing in mind the hint was “thing”.  I could not for the life of me get them to guess it was a “thing” in the shape of a person.  So I tried making clothes and dressing it up… ran a pole up its ass to show that its a statue, but still no one could get it. lol.

Anyway, my fitness has been dropping. I really wanna get rid of my gut.  Only doing pushups at the moment at night when I get home from work. That is the extent of my exercise, apart from sitting in a chair all day. Need to bring out the bike again and go around Glenwood!

Yesterday I picked up my side skirts for my car from Talon Body Styling w/ C, then ate at Rashays. I wanted to eat everything from the menu. We ordered bruschetta pizza, chicken schnitzel and chips w/ dianne sauce, salad, freshly squeezed watermelon jooooce. I was so keen on dessert but I couldn’t eat anymore. And this would mark the first time I’ve been to Liverpool!

I also recently ordered 2 items from Catch of the Day. One was 2 pairs of earphones for my workmate. They came in fine.  The other were $1 Havaianas that they claimed would be a “unisex” style and size.  I imagined at LEAST the plain colours, I was secretly hoping for black because I wanted a black pair.

… I got a black pair alright… with some Season-greeting-esque gold and silver shit all over it.

Anyway, I gave those to mum since she always uses my pair at home. At least they were $1…. + $6 shipping.

Excited for:

  • Installing side-skirts + v-lip onto my car. October 22
  • First Lancer western region meet-up. October 22
  • J’s Fresh Prince of Bel Air themed party. October 22
  • Inaugural “Show & Shine” Lancer Photoshoot @ Olympic Park. October 29
  • C’s birthday @ Beach house. November 4-6
  • Tram brothers arrive in Sydney. Gamer meet-up ftw! lolol. November 18
  • Go karts + Paintball w/ the gamers.

Just a random video I found and decided to upload… for the lulz.

This was on our way to Port Macq, 4 hours into our trip.. we decided to do some vlogs. On my camera I also found some very… slightly incriminating videos that will not be shown!

Delta Force Paintball, Appin.

Paintball yesterday with the UTS lads. It was me, Lenny, James, Jimmy, Simon, Joel, Tim, Gordon and Nam.

Fwarkk was it a trek and a half to get to the place.  We picked up James from Cabra in Lennys 2.5 seater ute, so it was a bit of a squeeze sitting in the middle. 3 guys in a ute was a sight to .. forget.

Anyway, when we got the place, I wasn’t expecting there to be about 50 other people playing at the same time. I thought it was just going to be us against each other. But overall it was pretty awesome. We got suited in our camo gear then briefed on safety and itinerary for the day. We got split up into different teams so 5 of us go split up and put into a different team, but we were still against each other, albeit with randoms.

First map was the crypt game zone. When the guy counted down, we all ran straight for cover. and started shooting across the map, but no one was moving up to the crypt, so to get the nerves of getting shot out of our system, we all stood in a line and withstood fire from the other team. Tim shot me 3 times - yes it hurt like a bitch. I also was wearing a half-visor helmet, so my head was totally exposed (as opposed to the other guys who don’t wear glasses - they get full helmets). When a paintball hit my head, GADDAMN did it cain … for about 5 seconds.

I really am lazy with describing the rest of the day, but it was so much fun, including when I got my revenge on Tim on the London map. Shot him multiple times while he was running and yelled out a celebratory YEAHHHHH!!!! Hahah. Oh in one of the maps, I GOT SHOT IN THE MOUTH. It hit the grills where the helmet protects your mouth, and the paint went straight through. Tasting the paint was terrible since we weren’t allowed to remove our helmets, I was constantly spitting out trails of paint. Best map was this one though, its where I shot the most people for me, and we took over the bus.

Overall, the day was good fun. Would definitely love to go again! Preferably when there isn’t mud or when it wasn’t previously raining.

JC’s. Graduation. Work.

Saturday, 14th May

Jamsines 21st year on earth! Twas amazing. Animal print theme, seeing familiar faces again, and seeing the little animal safari lioness’ face light up.  Pretty sure everyone had fun. We bought her an iPad 2 for her birthday, courtesy of the uni friends + 2 of her friends. As she says, she is so spoilt haha, but we love it I guess. My birthday month would never be like hers in a million and one years!! Lucky girl.

So anyway, extremely sorry for being an hour late. It was our intention to be there on time, like the filos that we are, we had everything planned, but we missed an exit, had to wait for people to be at the meeting spot etc. We tried!! But we made up for it by being the last ones to leave I guess? lol. If thats forgivable!!

I has a snake around my arm!

… and that snake ripped a part of my shirt off. Damn cheap Cotton On.

Monday, 16th May

Graduation!!!! We drove down at around 1pm because we were told to be there 90 minutes before our ceremony. Whilst my family ate a quick lunch, I grabbed my gown and bag of programmes and information.  Wish more people were there graduating with me, but I did bump into some people I’ve seen around uni and had a chat with them, congratulating each other and shedding manly tears together.

The proud parentals?

.. and the older brother. With my hat combover hair.

The actual ceremony was as you’d expect, you sit there through speeches, get your 5 seconds of fame on stage, then you sit back down. Afterwards, Peter came by to visit Thien, myself and a few other friends. Took some photos with the fam, returned my gown then made our way to The Malaya!

Food was great! We ordered the Set Menu 2 which consisted of Sashimi Salmon, Szechuan chicken, lamb bali, mee goreng and vegies, amongst a couple other delish dishes.

We made our way home, then Jasmine paid a visit to personally congratulate me since she said she would, even though shes sick! Probably will get sick too as I was coughing at work. Hahah just kiddz.  Shes cool.

Tuesday, 17th May

Came into work today amongst the congrats by everyone, apparently word got around lols and so I had people come up and ask “how’d it go”, and “how was the big day” - pretty much every variation of that by a handful of people.

Di came up to me and gave me an envelope, and there is one thing I want to mention that I noticed as she gave it to me - she gave me a kiss on the head. Like the ones you give your son when you’re proud of them, or comforting them because they’ve failed.  She has DEFINITELY become the hilarious mother figure of our group. And I thank her for that! The reason why everyone around me at ATO is awesome.  It was a graduation card in the envelope and a couple scratchies where I won …. another scratchie. Haha. The card sits on my workdesk to showcase to the world.

Thanks to everyone that has congratulated me!

I also changed my hair today and forevermore and got complimented that I actually suit it. Gone will be the fringe!

Battle Royale

Uni kids and I drove to Hawkesbury River to go catch some fish.  Picked up the JasVan and had a quick maccas breakfast before making our way there.  Fair few bites around, although unfortunately for me, took the bait, and in one instance, the bloody hook!

Was good fun, weather was great :).  Pity about Jimmy missing out on 2 catfish opportunities. LOL.

Anyway, as I was referring to in my last post, I really couldn’t be assed finishing the background off, so I just turned it into something else. A fake music festival flyer.

I pasted it to my friend and her immediate reaction was just that she was broke. I guess that’s okay.

The title has nothing to do with any of the content within this post, I just saw it on J’s coffee table and its the first thing that came to mind.

On a personal note: OH MAN. I have probably the best idea ever, that if it pulls through… Adrian Camua, you have outdone yourself. Just sayin’.
